Picture yourself poolside, where lush vegetation and cool, blue waters create the dreamiest of vacations. You know the one where fruity cocktails are on point, the beach is mesmerizingly gorgeous and the atmosphere around the resort makes you happy. This slice of beach life includes it all - activities galore, tasty cuisine, live entertainment, and some of the best service you'll ever experience.
Grab your flip flops. It's time to hit the beach. Amenities and customer service a miss The resort overall was fine. Some confusing processes to check in and with transportation aside, the resort tried to welcome us with good hospitality. The issues occurred when there were issues with the rooms. One room didn’t have air conditioning that worked properly, causing much discomfort to those staying inside. And there was no real Alex fort to resolve the issue during our stay.
The most unreasonable aspect was when the toilet in my room would continually break. When we would call the front desk, they would state that someone was on their way to repair, and no one would show up, even as we stayed awake late into the night waiting for them. After a period of time, the front desk wouldn’t even pick up the phone. Also, the first day we were there the pool was quite dirty. The beach was so full of sea weed. And we had to hunt down people for drink service. 0 of 0 found this helpful.
Cheap Trick is an indisputable American institution, beloved around the globe since 1974 for their instantly identifiable and hugely influential brand of pop rock n roll.
Not worth your money We went for our honeymoon and it was not worth the money. Pros: huge pool, friendly staff, the crepes and watching the animals everywhere was amazing! Cons: The food is AWFUL. My husband and I are not food snobs at all and we were disgusted by the buffet (which is the same every day!).
I also got sick and had diarrhea and threw up one night. As I Am writing this (2 weeks later) and I still feel sick. The only edible thing is the crepe shop in the plaza. You can't find seats at the pool or beach unless you get there before 8am. Which is so frustrating because we wanted to just relax and find 2 seats and every one had a towel on it! I can't imagine what it's like for bigger families.
Seaweed is so bad you can't enjoy the ocean. They try to sell EVERYTHING. From the very beginning to early morning wake up calls asking you to come down (at 8AM!!). Overall such an awful resort I would never go back there are so many better options out There! 0 of 0 found this helpful.

You can contact the resort directly to find out if they have any service on the beach. Their email is: rpparaiso@iberostar.com.mx. Each resort is different in how they work their reservation limit. Below is from our website directly, you can also contact the resort directly at their email to check with them about their policy. Rpparaiso@iberostar.com.mx Dining Policy A la carte restaurants require reservations, which may be made from 9am-11am and from 4pm-5:30pm daily with public relations at the hotel. We rented a car, very easy to navigate the highway (signs posted clearly everywhere).
We did Xel-Ha, Akumal, Chitchen itza. We bought the tickets in the hotel lobby from the Iberostar table (she knew the right deals for the Dolphin swim and the price was the same as at the park). Akumal is before Xel-ha and great to swim with the turtles and is free (unless you need to rent gear, there is a dive shop and good prices). Chitcehn Itza was a 3 hour drive going the Tulum route, but most likely would have been shorter if we took the toll road via Cancun. Total spent on gas for the week was about $100.00. Taxi fare to Cancun from hotel was $40 each way. Also if you do excursions, you pay extra for the transport there and back.
Most affordable way is to be able to speak spanish use Pesos, Haggle, Haggle, Haggle. Pay the normal one way $5 shuttle fees, take a shuttle to a destination and wander around until you feel good and ready to take the next shuttle back. Don't forget the times for the shuttle its better to be early for them than on time. But you can book them almost anywhere but over there you may have a chance to Haggle for the price and if you use pesos you'll be saving some money. If you are set on an excursion by all means reserve it ahead of time. Happy adventures! For every 2 days you can reserve 1 restaurant.
Japanese, American Steakhouse, Italian, Brazilian, and a few others. The taco, fajita snack bar is open until about 8 pm or whenever they feel like closing for the night. My only experience is the American Steakhouse and the Japanese one. The Japanese was more entertaining, the American one was relaxing. Try any of them have an adventure. The Italian one had some great chefs there also. Would have loved to stay an extra day or even a week there to check out all of them.
There are signs posted everywhere that reserving the chairs is not allowed, but people do it. We had 9 in our group. The first morning we got out to the pool around 8:00 and found 4 chairs. The next morning we got out there at 9:30 and could only find 2. Plenty of chairs on the beach, in the sun. Shaded areas fill up very quick.
Many times we saw chairs being reserved that never had anyone in them.nothing seemed to be enforced although this is something that happens at every resort there so I am not sure how it would be controlled. Xichen was a 2 hour ride, but the tour we went on was 7-7 and they gave us breakfast, sweet roles, fruit, coffee, oj. And then drove to ruins, it was a great tour, good guide, go to get back on bus had beer, sodas water, went to lunch, great food, and shopping right off restaurant, nice, then back on bus to watering whole, wow, that was nice, you could go in water, it was 92 steps down to watering whole, we took a lot of pictures, then before getting on bus more beer, water, soda, then back to resort.we had a great time. Cost us each around 107.and worth it. You will have to pay for an excursion.
You will have a representative at the hotel that you can book that through. It's best to ask other people at the resort what they did and what was worth it. We didn't do many excursions but we heard from some people which ones were good and which ones they didn't think were worth their time. Also ask how long it will take you to get to your destination. I stayed at the iberostar beach hotel and the ruins I think were close to an hour away or more so we decided not to go on this trip because we didn't want to be gone that long.
Hi, my sister's 70th Birthday is coming up in August and we're looking at booking the Iberostar Paraiso Beach/Del Mar Resort in Riviera Maya all inclusive 4 nights with air for $749.00 from Boston which is where my sister lives. I live in Maryland and could fly out of BWI or DCA airport so how does this work in terms of cost; would it still be the $749.00 for me, and what are the tax and room fees if any?
What type of room does this package include? We would also want to book roundtrip airport transportation through Carribean Tours and am requesting an estimate as to the cost so we won't have the hassle once we arrive. Hello JC, So far that i know cheapcaribbean does let you book hotel only or hotel and flight, i will suggest to do the only hotel and flight separate. We were three in one room, and our room was by the beach and in the first floor which is excellent for their ages. For the trips we took the chichenitza trip which is to visit the mayas pyramids, my suggestion is that you have to really think about going because it involves a lot of walking and a lot of stairs for example going to the cenote which is the natural pol inside of the cave, it was very hard for my grandma going down and up. Maybe i shouldnt say this here by go to trip advisor that way you get an idea of what it would be. If you decide to do it in Mexico, it would be a little of time of yours but it could be a little bit cheaper, not a major thing. I suggest you call cheapcaribbean to figure out the flight cuz website assumes you are flying fr same location.
Their customer service is awesome. When you proceed with reservation you will see the room types.
Usually two full beds but you can always upgrade to different room. Same for transportation. Once you proceed with booking you can choose their transportation and I do suggest that because it is very convenient and reasonable and you will appreciate the service once you get out of plane feeling tired. If I recall correctly it was $40 per person and it covers round trip. Yes you can use other Iberostar resorts. You have to take a taxi there which you would be responsible for paying for (The hotel can give you the cost of the taxi). You have to take a photo ID and stop at the front desk to get a wristband for a day pass which I believe is good until 6 PM.
You can eat and drink at the other resort with that wristband. Confirm that with your hotel when you get there. I believe Cozumel you will also need to take a ferry but the hotel should be able to tell you the best way to get there.
You don't have to tip, but it's always a nice gesture for good service granted. I always leave a few dollars for housekeeping daily, tip bellboys for transporting luggage, cab drivers, tour guides, etc because these people make so little money. I always travel with many small bills for tips. They are always much appreciated. As an American I feel very privileged to be able to travel so freely when these people may never have the opportunity to leave their town. Usually when you tip, you're not forgotten and well taken care of.
